This website, gregoryostrander.com (the "Site"), is operated by JP&SB Consulting LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), which publishes under the name Gregory Ostrander.

By accessing the Site, downloading any resource from it, or submitting your email address to us, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. About the name we publish under

"Gregory Ostrander" is a pen name used for publishing and educational content. The materials on this Site are produced by a real person with real operating experience in senior corporate roles. The name is a professional pseudonym, not a claim of separate identity, credential, or third-party endorsement.

3. What this Site provides

The Site provides free educational resources related to executive job search, including worksheets, trackers, checklists, and templates that accompany the book Stop Applying: The Executive Job Search System for Directors, VPs, and Senior Leaders. It also provides links to paid materials sold on third-party platforms.

The Site does not provide recruiting services, job placement, resume writing services, coaching, or any form of representation to employers.

4. Educational content only, not professional advice

All content on the Site is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.

Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, tax, employment, immigration, medical, or psychological advice, and nothing on the Site should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your specific situation. You are solely responsible for how you use the information and for any decision you make based on it.

5. No guarantee of results

Job search outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including your background, your market, your effort, timing, and the decisions of employers.

We make no representation, promise, or guarantee that using the Site or its resources will result in interviews, offers, employment, a particular salary, a particular timeline, or any other outcome. Any examples, case descriptions, timelines, or figures shown on the Site or in our materials are illustrative and are not typical results, average results, or a promise of what you will achieve.

6. Eligibility

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 or older who are pursuing senior professional or executive roles. By using the Site you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

7. Free resources and email communications

When you submit your email address to receive free resources, you agree that we may send you the requested files along with related educational emails, updates, and occasional offers for our own products.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing does not remove your right to keep and use files you already downloaded.

We do not sell or rent your email address. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property and how you may use our materials

All content on the Site, including text, worksheets, trackers, templates, figures, diagrams, and design elements, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may: download and use the free resources for your own personal job search, print them, fill them in, and keep them.

You may not: resell, sublicense, or distribute the materials; post them on a public site, file-sharing service, or paid community; use them in coaching, consulting, training, or client work you charge for; remove our name or copyright notices; or use the materials to build or train a competing product, course, or service.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; interfere with or disrupt the Site; use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or copy the Site or its content; submit false, deceptive, or third-party contact information; or introduce malicious code.

We may suspend or block access to the Site, and remove you from our email list, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms.

10. Purchases made on third-party platforms

We do not process payments on this Site.

Books are sold through Amazon. Paid digital materials are sold through Gumroad. When you buy something on one of those platforms, your purchase is governed by that platform's terms, privacy policy, refund policy, and payment processing. We are not responsible for their systems, pricing display, delivery, or support, although we will do what we reasonably can to help if something goes wrong with a purchase of our materials.

11. Third-party links and tools

The Site and our materials reference third-party websites, software, and services. Those references are provided for convenience. We do not control those third parties, do not endorse everything they do, and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, data practices, or performance. Your use of any third-party service is between you and that service.

Where a link is an affiliate link, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up or buy, we will say so clearly at or near the link. We only recommend tools we consider genuinely useful, and a commission never changes what we recommend.

12. Use of AI in producing our materials

Some of our written materials, figures, and media are produced with the assistance of AI tools, under human direction and human editorial review. Where a platform requires disclosure of AI-assisted content, we make that disclosure.

13. Availability and changes to the Site

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, including any free resource, at any time and without notice. We do not promise that the Site will be available without interruption or free of errors.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all content and resources on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the information on the Site is complete, current, or applicable to your situation, or that the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost income, lost opportunities, lost job offers, lost data, or reputational harm, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or its resources, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JP&SB Consulting LLC and anyone acting on its behalf from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

18. Termination

We may terminate or restrict your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice. Sections 8, 14, 15, 16, and 19 survive termination.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree that any dispute relating to the Site or these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing anything, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and give us thirty days to try to resolve the matter informally.

20. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
